The 2021 Toyota Prius Prime is an advanced plug-in hybrid that delivers exceptional fuel efficiency, cutting-edge technology, and a stellar reputation for long-term durability. Building on decades of hybrid leadership, this standout model combines electric-only capability with everyday practicality to offer one of the most efficient driving experiences on the market.

Safety, efficiency, durability, and technology — these are just a few of the many improved aspects that make the 2021 Prius primed for perfection. Adopting the Toyota “Prime” badge signals the all-new Prius as a distinguished model from the manufacturer, and quite literally the best of the best. Combining the best features of its previous counterpart with modern upgrades, the Prius Prime truly lives up to its name: of first importance and the best possible quality.

When charged, the Prius Prime can operate almost silently, with an all-electric (no-gas) mode that can travel up to 25 miles (the average commuting distance for many Americans). The Prime also adds Android Auto compatibility, and its plug-in capability enables a driving range of up to 640 miles. New is Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, a suite of driver-assist technologies highlighted by automatic emergency braking, a pre-collision system with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist.

Also impressive are the Prime’s fuel efficiency numbers:

55 city MPG, 53 highway MPG, 54 combined MPG, 133 MPGe when fully charged, 640-mile total driving range
