For its 26th year of production and 16th consecutive year of being the best-selling mid-size pickup truck, the Tacoma is leveling-up in an all-new way: with a TRD Lift Kit! 2020 models and newer will have a suspension lift option available and the only one designed, tested, and verified compatible with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) by TRD engineers. Elevating more than just its stance, the lift kit also boosts the Tacoma’s look and capabilities, with a new TRD Pro-Style front grille and new monotube Bilstein shocks.
A Step-Up In Stance & Safety
The dealer-installed lift kit option is now available nationwide and will provide most V6-powered 4×4 Tacomas with a 2-inch front and 1-inch rear lift. Though added on as an additional feature, the lift kit will still be compatible with TSS, making it the only lift kit certified by Toyota to lift your truck’s clearance by 1.7 inches, yet ground it in complete safety.
Elevated Capabilities & Look
The TRD Lift Kit was also designed to enhance the exploring experiences and adventure lifestyles of Tacoma owners, with improved approach, departure, and breakover angles. Also adding to its on- and off-road vehicle dynamics are Bilstein shocks, fitted with new TRD red dust boots and “Tuned by TRD” graphics. Last, but certainly not least: the grille, adding rugged TOYOTA lettering and a TSS system millimeter wave sensor.
Pricing & Warranty
The manufacturer-suggested retail price of the TRD Lift Kit is $1,350, which does not include an estimated 4-5+ hours of labor. All necessary hardware for installation is included and is only offered as a dealer-installed option. If installed prior or at the time of sale, the Tacoma TRD Lift Kit comes backed with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty. If installed after sale, it will come with a 1-year or 12,000-mile warranty.
