The 2025 Toyota Corolla lineup is getting a sporty new addition with the introduction of the Corolla FX Special Edition. Inspired by the legendary Corolla FX16 from 1987, this new model brings a fresh, dynamic look to the Toyota Corolla family.
The Toyota Corolla FX: Stylish, Bold, and Sporty
Built on the SE grade, the Corolla FX is designed to stand out with its bold styling. It features an enhanced rear spoiler for added flair, striking 18-inch satin-black alloy wheels with machined accents, and black lug nuts. The two-tone look is completed with a blacked-out roof, black badging, and black mirror caps, giving it a sleek, sporty feel.
All 2025 Corolla models, including the FX, are built on the TNGA-C platform, known for its rigid structure, low center of gravity, and standard independent MacPherson strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar, which together deliver exceptional handling and comfort. The Corolla FX also comes with standard lowering springs for a more aggressive stance, and its Electric Power Steering has been specially tuned to enhance the sporty driving experience.
169 Horsepower Engine and Upgraded Interior Design
Under the hood, the Corolla FX is powered by a 2.0L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, generating 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. This spirited performance is complemented by a manufacturer-estimated 34 MPG combined rating, offering both excitement and efficiency.
Inside, the Corolla FX features Moonstone sport fabric seats with distinctive orange stitching and introduces the 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia screen to the Corolla lineup. This screen is standard on the Corolla FX and will also be available on other 2025 Corolla models. Additional features include a 7-inch multi-information display and a wireless charger, both of which are borrowed from the 2025 XSE trim.
Safety remains a top priority with the Corolla FX, which comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. The Corolla FX will be available in three colors: Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap, and Underground, with Ice Cap and Underground models featuring a contrasting Midnight Black Metallic roof.
